TRSubC — Dams and hydropower

Dam diving and hydropower works.

Screens, gates, intakes and stoplogs, down to sixty-nine metres.

On a hydropower scheme, every day of shutdown counts as lost production. We prepare the job with your operator so that we dive at the planned time, work without surprises and hand the structure back on the announced date.

What is at stake

Below a dam, a mistake costs production.

Production shutdown

A badly prepared shutdown or drawdown costs more than the job itself. The schedule is set with the operator before the first dive.

Safety inside the structure

Suction, residual flow, equipment under pressure: a dive in a hydraulic structure only starts once every component is isolated and checked.

Your liability

An owner who hands diving work to a non-compliant contractor shares the risk if there is an accident. Ask for the proof before the job, not after.

Our work

Inspect, repair, return to service.

Reservoirs, intakes and power plants in Switzerland, Germany, Austria and France, in the mountains and in the lowlands.

What you receive

A plan, a date, a report.

1

Before

We come and look at the structure. You receive a written work plan, a date and a price, fitted to your operations.

2

During

A daily update. Every dive is measured and recorded as it happens.

3

After

A report: the condition of the structure, what was done, what will need a further intervention and when.

Respect. In Switzerland, every dive follows the Ordinance on the safety of workers when working in pressurised environments (SR 832.311.12): safety concept (Art. 6), emergency and rescue plan, regularly drilled (Art. 7), treatment chamber on site as soon as the planned decompression exceeds fifteen minutes (Art. 21). In France, the Labour Code (Art. R4461-1 et seq.) and the orders of 14 May 2019; in Germany and Austria, the national accident-prevention rules. Our public liability insurance covers every job: the certificate comes with every offer.
